Praise & Worship thru Music

Psalm 33:1-5 NLT

Let the godly sing for joy to the Lord; it is fitting for the pure to praise him.
Praise the Lord with melodies on the lyre; make music for him on the ten-stringed harp.
Sing a new song of praise to him; play skillfully on the harp, and sing with joy.
For the word of the Lord holds true, and we can trust everything he does.
He loves whatever is just and good; the unfailing love of the Lord fills the earth.  

David danced in the streets celebrating God's love, grace and mercy.  He and his music director, Asaph wrote most of the Psalms. Music and dance are wonderful ways to praise the Lord. Your Worship Team is here to help you do just that; worship and praise through song. In Psalm 33, the psalmist tells us that it is good for us to show our love for God through praise and to do so with joy, for God's love fills the earth. That is exactly why Good Samaritan has a Worship Team. With that in mind, we have written a mission statement.

The Good Samaritan Worship Team Mission Statement

The Praise Team at Good Samaritan is committed to:

• Praise the Lord joyfully with music while performing skillfully, artfully and lovingly.
• Bring music to Good Samaritan that is theologically sound and consistent with our beliefs as Christians, Methodists and members of Good Samaritan United Methodist Church.
• Bring a variety of music that reflects the styles of the congregation, clergy and team members.
• Promote teamwork and a spirit of community within the group and with Good Samaritan
• Have Fun in Praise and Worship!!
