Welcome to the Good Samaritan Academy!

Thank you so much for your interest in Good Samaritan Academy. Selecting an early childhood learning experience can be challenging and one of the most important decisions you will make for your young child. Our goal is to partner with our parents to provide the very best care and early learning experience for each child. 

Good Samaritan Academy is a licensed childcare facility with the Florida Department of Children and Families and will begin the APPLE accreditation process in 2010.  Good Samaritan Academy offers a year-round program for children aged 18 months through Pre-Kindergarten/VPK.  We are open from 7:00 AM until 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday with both full-time and part-time options available. We participate in the State of Florida Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) program and the School Readiness Program. We will be closed for all major holidays.  For your planning purposes, we will provide you with a calendar of holiday closings and special events that your children will enjoy throughout the year.

  Good Samaritan is a distinctively Christian school and children will be taught the Word of God daily through music and Bible story.  We are associated with Good Samaritan United Methodist Church and are located at 3720 Capital Circle SE across from SouthWood. Teachers prepare lesson plans using the Wee Learn Curriculum. The Wee Learn Curriculum provides a framework for teachers to build an early childhood learning program using a range of activities designed to meet the needs of children at their level of development along the growth continuum.  Your child will also have a wonderfully, unique opportunity to receive 30 minutes of dance instruction and 30 minutes of music instruction as part of their normal academic schedule. We believe that God creatively breathed life into the world and He has created each of us with a unique desire to be creative through the arts. Good Samaritan is pleased to offer this first of its kind early childhood arts instruction to southeast Tallahassee.
